Project manager fluent in spoken and written Chinese needed for an exciting new project in Shanghai as well as continuing work. Work in our light-filled South Park studio with opportunities to travel to China and to our Boston office.

Responsibilities include interpreting design principal’s sketches and developing details for a high-end, multi-unit residential project and maintaining contact with the client’s project management staff in China. As project moves into construction, accompany design principal to site meetings to assist with interpreting the drawings and translating.

Position is envisioned as full time, although a contract position will be considered for the right candidate. Requires office experience in project management and detailing, and proficiency in AutoCAD. Computer modeling skill is highly desirable.

Other projects in the office include housing and cultural facilities. Submit and resume and one-page work sample (pdf format) for consideration.

Measurement Specialties, a designer and manufacturer of sensors, and sensor-based products, is seeking a highly motivated Senior EE to develop pressure transmitter electronics & manage a team of EE’s to develop transducers & transmitters.

The job opening is located in our development facility in Fremont California and requires relocation if currently out of the area. In the Fremont facility we manufacture wafers & develop new pressure & force products. All of our sensor products are packaged in Shenzhen China where we have a team of manufacturing & development engineers who will report to/work with the engineering manager in Fremont to release new products into production.

Base technologies for pressure & force are MEMS piezoresistive silicon, Microfused silicon, bonded strain gage and variable capacitive. Responsibilities of this position will be to match the low level signals of our base technologies to high level outputs per customer requirements. Outputs of the final devices will be both analog and digital depending on the application. They will also include temperature compensation, calibration, and EMI/RFI rejection.

Measurement Specialties (www.meas-spec.com) produces a wide variety of sensors that use advanced technologies to measure precise ranges of physical characteristics, including pressure, motion, force, displacement, angle, flow, and distance. Measurement Specialties uses multiple advanced technologies including, application specific integrated circuits (ASICs), micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS), piezopolymers, metal foil and piezoresistive silicon strain gages, linear variable differential transformers (LVDT’s), to allow their sensors to operate precisely and be cost effective.

Qualifications/Experience:

· Physics or EE degree

· 5 years experience in electronic design, preferably in analog design.

Responsibilities include:

· Customer interaction

· Project management

· Direct & coordinate offshore development programs

· Analog & some digital electrical design

· Some computer control hardware & Visual basic development

Knowledge of any of the following is a plus:

· Microelectronic packaging

CAD / CADD Drafter/Technician required for Architecture and Interior Design Company, Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago

Position: Full-time employee position

Location: Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago, Caribbean

Open to: Citizens of Trinidad & Tobago, CARICOM Single Market and Economy persons (CSME, CARICOM)

Experience Level: Minimum of 3-5 years working experience in the execution of all phases of small to large Architectural projects; all-round drafting experience with management of project schedules.

Technical: Proficiency in AutoCAD 2005 to 2007; working knowledge of Word and Excel for the creation of required drawing schedules to be produced or kept up-to-date by CAD personnel; 3D and other programs are a plus. Qualifications and certifications where necessary to prove experience and capabilities.

Qualities:

  1. Minimally, individuals must be motivated and positive Team Players who are responsible Self Starters/Self Managers, with good to high caliber organizational skills;
  2. dedication to the output of detailed, accurate and quality standard work;
