CAD / CADD Drafter/Technician required for Architecture and Interior Design Company, Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago
Position: Full-time employee position
Location: Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago, Caribbean
Open to: Citizens of Trinidad & Tobago, CARICOM Single Market and Economy persons (CSME, CARICOM)
Experience Level: Minimum of 3-5 years working experience in the execution of all phases of small to large Architectural projects; all-round drafting experience with management of project schedules.
Technical: Proficiency in AutoCAD 2005 to 2007; working knowledge of Word and Excel for the creation of required drawing schedules to be produced or kept up-to-date by CAD personnel; 3D and other programs are a plus. Qualifications and certifications where necessary to prove experience and capabilities.

- proven knowledge of construction details and procedures where they pertain to your profession
The successful candidate must be able to produce complete sets of (accurate) construction documents with limited guidance on small to medium projects; organize and collate CADD data and materials.Qualifications: Certificates of completion of Architectural drafting and construction courses or higher

Responsibilities: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- coordinating and managing the CAD output for Architecture and Interior projects with all aspects of CAD Project Development and CAD File Management;
- support and conduct calls, meetings and interface with product suppliers where necessary (judgment to do same must be present) to produce competent drawings;
- develop details for construction, casework, custom furniture, inventory equipment and furnishings, Construction Document Production;
- coordinate Engineering and other Consultant Drawings with Architectural set;
- basic Construction Administration;
- maintenance of CAD schedules and deadlines;
- maintenance of accurate project time sheets where required.
Salary: Salary to be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Deliverables & Format: Hard copies: Resume, portfolio, certifications and qualifications where necessary, at least three (3) job references and recommendations. Digital copies: CAD work. Digital files can be brought to interview, if an interview is forthcoming; therefore, it is recommended that applicants send digital files with their application documents as they may be disadvantaged in securing an interview with the company.
